This article provides information about some biologically active compounds, such as essential oils, additives, terpenes, aromatic compounds that are part of the peppermint plant (Mentha piperita L.). The article also discusses the healing properties of mint and its importance in the treatment of nervous diseases, atherosclerosis, hypertension, upper respiratory tract inflammation, migraine, cholecystitis, sore throat and many other diseases.
