Abstract
Secondary metabolites produced by endophytic microorganisms are an important rich source of biologically active compounds for novel drugs discovery. Current research is based on pharmacological activities of endophytic fungus isolated, identified with 18S rRNA gene sequences method and evaluated for bioactive secondary metabolites from the leaves of medicinal plant Vernonia anthelmintica for first time. Fungal strain Myceliophthora thermophile XJF-9 exhibited promising results towards antimicrobial activities against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and the yeast Candida albicans. Moreover, displayed cytotoxic and anti-diabetic activities.
