Abstract
Alkaloid metabolite sophoridine was obtained from ethyl acetate extract of endophytic bacteria Bacillus halotolerans XJB-35. Bacterial strain was isolated from medicinal plant Vernonia anthelmintica stem and identified by 16S rRNA gene sequencing techniques. The pure isolated secondary metabolite evaluated for on melanin synthesis and tyrosinase activity in murine B16 cells.
