Abdurakhimova, Nodira Kh, Askarov, Ibragim R.
Abstract
It has been studied that melon seeds and peel were used in folk medicine for the treatment of tuberculosis, bronchitis, rheumatism, gout, anemia, heart disease, liver disease, and atherosclerosis. The total amino acid content of melon seeds was 7.2291 mg/g, and 18 out of 20 different amino acids were identified by the HPLC method. It was found that lysine and leucine are completely absent in the sample. The total amino acid content of the melon peel is 12.0413 mg/g, and it has been found that all the amino acids and more are present than in its seeds.
