Abstract
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) compositions with alkyloxycarbamate derivatives have been developed. The thermal stabilizing effect of alkyloxycarbamate derivatives has been studied using the derivatographic method as a function of the concentration and nature of stabilizers. The decomposition onset temperatures, mass loss, thermal decomposition rate, and amount of energy expended (µV∙s/mg) for polymer decomposition have been determined. It has been established that with an increase in stabilizer concentration to a critical concentration, the stabilizing effect will increase, while a further increase in stabilizer concentration leads to a decrease in the thermal stability of PVC compositions.
