Abstract
Cumin (Cuminum cyminum) has been widely used since ancient times, and its seeds are used not only as food, but also in traditional and modern medicine. Cumin seeds contain many biochemical substances, including essential oils, flavonoids, vitamins, makro- and microelements. This article provides a brief overview of studies conducted to analyze the chemical composition of cumin seeds, as well as its significance in modern and folk medicine.
