OBTAINING BORIC ACID FROM BOROSILICATE ORES
Mamatov, Ergash D.
Abstract
This article presents the results of a study of borosilicate ore sulfation at the Ak-Arkhar deposit. It is shown that at 250°C and a process duration of 60 minutes, the boron oxide extraction rate reaches 97.18%, where the optimal acid concentration (~65-70%) was identified. New methods for determining boron oxide in the presence of mannitol and ethylene glycol are established. A general methodology and practical applications of methods for determining boron oxide in solutions are presented. The results of a study of the mechanism and form of boron in aqueous solutions and the production of boric acid from danburite ores at the AK-Arkhar deposit are summarized.
