Noibzhonova, Khurshida M.
Abstract
This article presents a comprehensive review of Plantago major based on literature data, covering its botanical description, taxonomic position, global distribution, and certain biological activities. For the first time, the free amino acid content in Plantago major growing in the Andijan region was quantitatively determined using the Cohen method via high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The results showed that glycine, valine, methionine, and glutamic acid were present at high concentrations in the leaves, and all nine essential amino acids were detected
