Abstract
This article examines the chemical composition, nutritional value, and prospects of using common wormwood (Artemisia) as a feed additive in animal husbandry. During the study, the contents of proteins, fiber, mineral substances, carbohydrates, and vitamins in the plant were determined using modern laboratory methods. Carbohydrate content was analyzed by liquid chromatography using the Agilent 1100 HPLC system, while vitamins were determined using high-performance liquid chromatography and spectrophotometric methods. The results showed that common wormwood contains biologically active substances, particularly glucose, fructose, ascorbic acid, β-carotene, and tocopherols. The obtained data demonstrated that inclusion of common wormwood in animal feed contributes to increased productivity, improved immunity, and enhanced nutritional value of feed.
