Integrating critical thinking into english language education: modern approaches and challenges

Abstract
Modern education requires students not only to learn information but also to understand, analyze, and apply it in different situations. One of the skills that helps learners achieve this goal is critical thinking. In English language education, critical thinking supports communication, independent learning, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. Traditional methods often focused on memorization of grammar rules and vocabulary, but today educational systems are moving toward more interactive approaches. This article discusses the importance of critical thinking in English language teaching, methods used for its integration, existing challenges, and possible solutions.
