Prognostic factors of the development of dental diseases in leukemia: diagnosis, treatment and prevention

This study focuses on identifying prognostic factors and immunological markers of oral diseases in patients with acute and chronic leukemia. A total of 280 patients were examined using clinical, hygiene, and immunological parameters. A high incidence of gingivitis, ulcerative, and dystrophic oral mucosal lesions was found, especially in individuals with high comorbidity indices. Elevated levels of IgA and IgG against gliadin and transglutaminase correlated with inflammation severity. A tailored prevention and treatment protocol was developed and implemented, significantly reducing complications and improving oral health conditions.
