Clinic basis of the advantages of immediate loading in immediate implantation

Dental implantation has become one of the leading treatment modalities in modern surgical dentistry and continues to evolve with the development of techniques aimed at improving clinical outcomes and reducing the duration of rehabilitation. One of the current challenges in implantology is minimizing surgical stages while preventing post-extraction alveolar ridge atrophy.The aim of this study was to evaluate a single-stage dental implantation protocol designed to reduce the number of surgical procedures, prevent alveolar ridge atrophy following tooth extraction, and achieve rapid restoration of dentition.Following comprehensive clinical examination, non-viable tooth roots were extracted. Implant bed preparation and implant placement were performed during the same surgical session, followed by immediate functional loading. This protocol enabled simultaneous tooth extraction, implant placement, and prosthetic rehabilitation. Patients underwent follow-up clinical examinations at 12 and 24 months. The level of implant stability and osseointegration was assessed using the Implant Stability Quotient (ISQ) measurement system.Clinical evaluation demonstrated stable implant fixation and satisfactory osseointegration during the observation period. The proposed treatment approach contributed to a reduction in the number of surgical stages and enabled functional restoration of the dentition within a shorter rehabilitation period.Single-stage dental implantation with immediate loading may represent an effective clinical strategy for preventing alveolar ridge atrophy and accelerating prosthetic rehabilitation after tooth extraction.
