Аннотация
Bone tissue regeneration is a key prerequisite for the complete restoration of tooth function in particular and the dental arch as a whole. In this regard, bioengineering in dentistry is becoming increasingly important. The development of modified bioactive glass occupies a leading position among modern regenerative technologies.Bioactive glass represents a unique class of biomaterials capable of forming a chemical bond with biological tissues and stimulating the regeneration of bone and dental structures due to its high biocompatibility. Its ability to form a hydroxyapatite layer and exhibit antibacterial activity makes these materials promising for a wide range of dental applications. This article reviews the main mechanisms of action of bioactive glass, methods of its synthesis, features of property modification, and various clinical applications in contemporary dentistry, with an emphasis on recent research findings.
