Аннотация

Suicide is a significant public health issue, but in Uzbekistan, its discussion often faces cultural and social barriers. Silence about the issue can have a negative impact on public health and complicate suicide prevention. This article examines the underlying causes of suicidal behavior in Uzbekistan, the consequences of silence on the topic, and the importance of discussing this issue at the societal and institutional levels. Openness about mental health issues and active efforts to prevent suicide contribute to improving the well-being of citizens
