Gender differences in the diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder

Abstract
The article examines the issue of gender differences in the diagnosis of autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Although autism spectrum disorders are widely studied, research indicates significant differences in symptom presentation and diagnostic approaches between boys and girls. The article analyzes the factors influencing this disproportion, such as sociocultural stereotypes, differences in social skills and communication characteristics in children of different sexes
