Облокулова О.А
Abstract
The spleen is an important organ of the lymphatic system, performing a number of critical functions, including immune control, blood storage, and participation in the metabolism of formed elements. Despite its importance, the spleen remains a relatively little-studied organ compared to other structures of the human body. The purpose of this article is to provide a comprehensive review of the anatomical and histological structure of the spleen, its functional morphology, developmental features, age-related changes and morphological disorders in pathologies.
