Today, it is an indisputable fact that bariatric surgery is one of the most popular and successful treatments for both obesity and associated type 2 diabetes mellitus. It has long been proven that rapid weight loss after bariatric surgery is the main postoperative effect. Objective of the study: To improve treatment outcomes in obese patients with concomitant non-alcoholic steatohepatitis by developing diagnostic and prognostic criteria for selecting the optimal type of bariatric surgery. Based on this objective, the article presents scientific studies with comparative analysis.
