Аннотация
Secondary cataract (secondary clouding of the posterior lens capsule) is a frequent complication after surgical treatment of cataracts in children. Nd:YAG laser capsulotomy (Nd:YAG-LC) has proven itself as an effective and safe treatment method for this condition. The purpose of this study is to conduct a multifactorial analysis of the results of Nd:YAG-LC in children with secondary cataracts. The study included 45 patients (45 eyes) aged 2 to 14 years who underwent Nd:YAG-LC. Such parameters as the patient's age, the type of intraocular lens (IOL), the number of impulses and laser energy, as well as visual results before and after the procedure, were assessed. The results showed a significant improvement in visual acuity, a decrease in intraocular pressure, and minimal complications. Multifactorial analysis revealed that the patient's age and type of IOL significantly influence the effectiveness of the procedure. Thus, Nd:YAG-LC is a highly effective method for treating secondary cataracts in children, and it is necessary to consider the patient's individual characteristics to optimize treatment outcomes.
