Нигматов Р.Н., Акбаров К.С., Ниёзова М.М.
Annotaciya
Crossbite is a common dentoalveolar anomaly in children, and improving orthodontic treatment methods holds significant importance in dental practice. In this study, 76 children aged 6–14 years underwent clinical examination at the Tashkent State Medical University between 2018 and 2024. Of these, 42 were treated with a mixed-action orthodontic appliance developed by the authors, while 34 received conventional expansion plates with screws. The control group included 38 children. Clinical examination, anthropometry, biometry, and radiological methods were applied. The results highlighted the etiological factors, clinical manifestations of crossbite, and the effectiveness of the new appliance. The treatment duration was 56±8 days, which is twice as short compared to conventional methods (116±12 days). The proposed algorithm is recommended for application in clinical practice.
