Бекжанова О.Е., Фуркатова С.Ф.
Abstract
This article presents an analysis of modern synthetic irrigation solutions used in endodontics, evaluating their antimicrobial, tissue-dissolving, and chelating properties. The mechanisms of action of sodium hypochlorite, ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, and chlorhexidine are considered, as well as their effect on root canal biofilm. Special attention is given to combined irrigation systems and their advantages over traditional solutions. The main disadvantages of currently used agents and the prospects for developing new preparations are also discussed.
