AI as a tool for standardizing orthodontic diagnostics

Abstract

This article examines the current potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in orthodontics as a tool for standardizing the diagnostic process. It is demonstrated that the implementation of AI algorithms reduces the subjectivity of diagnostic data interpretation, improves the reproducibility of cephalometric measurements, and ensures a unified diagnostic approach when examining patients with dentofacial anomalies. Particular attention is paid to the use of AI in teleradiography analysis and the diagnosis of vertical malocclusions, including deep bite. It is concluded that AI has high clinical and methodological significance for improving the quality of orthodontic care.
