Abstract
Chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) remains one of the most relevant problems in modern otorhinolaryngology, significantly affecting patients’ quality of life and work capacity. Among its clinical variants, particular attention is drawn to exudative forms, which are characterized by a prolonged inflammatory process of the paranasal sinus mucosa and the accumulation of pathological secretions. The aim of this study was to identify the clinico-morphological features of the course of exudative forms of CRS and to determine their relationship with impaired mucociliary clearance. The obtained data confirm the significance of exudative forms of CRS as a clinical problem requiring an in-depth study of mucosal morphological changes as well as a comprehensive analysis of clinical manifestations to optimize diagnosis and therapy.
