CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CLINICAL COURSE OF PRODUCTIVE-TYPE CHRONIC RHINOSINUSITIS

The article presents the results of the primary examination of a group of patients with chronic rhinosinusitis, with a focus on the productive forms of the disease. The frequency of occurrence, gender distribution, and main morphological features of this pathology were determined. Productive forms of chronic rhinosinusitis represent one of the most common clinical variants of the disease, characterized by hyperplastic and polypoid changes in the mucosa of the paranasal sinuses. Their course is marked by gradual progression, persistent symptoms, and a high tendency to recurrence. The main clinical manifestations include pronounced nasal obstruction, hyposmia or anosmia, nasal discharge, and headaches, which significantly reduce patients’ quality of life.
