PULMONARY TUBERCULOSIS AND ASSOCIATED PATHOLOGIES – PROBLEMS OF COMORBIDITY, PATHOGENESIS, AND PATIENT MANAGEMENT
Абдуллаева Феруза Орзуевна
Abstract
Tuberculosis (TB) remains one of the leading causes of infectious disease mortality worldwide. Current research convincingly demonstrates that the outcome and epidemiology of pulmonary tuberculosis are inextricably linked to the presence of comorbidities. This review examines key comorbid conditions in TB, their impact on pathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment, and disease outcomes, and highlights the need for an integrated approach to the management of these patients.
