Annotaciya
Pelvic ring fractures are common in high-energy blunt trauma, especially in motor vehicle accidents. These types of injuries are characterized by high morbidity and mortality due to frequent instability of fractures and associated intra-pelvic vascular and visceral complications. Computed tomography (CT) is the gold standard in the assessment of pelvic injuries, as it allows for rapid and accurate detection of pelvic ring fractures, active intra-pelvic bleeding, and damage to other body systems.
