Annotatsiya

This study aimed to analyze the relationship between acute pancreatitis and COVID-19 disease as a potential causative factor. An integrative analysis of studies published from January 2020 to December 2022 was conducted, including data on patients diagnosed with acute pancreatitis and confirmed COVID-19. A total of thirty studies were reviewed. Demographic, clinical, laboratory, and imaging data were analyzed and discussed. Due to the absence of other risk factors and the close temporal relationship between the two diseases, it is hypothesized that SARS-CoV-2 caused the development of acute pancreatitis in these patients. Special attention should be paid to gastrointestinal symptoms in patients with COVID-19.
