MODERN APPROACHES TO THE DIAGNOSIS OF LIVER ECHINOCOCCOSIS (literature review)
Рахмонова Г.Э, Эшмурадов Э.А
Abstract
Hepatic echinococcosis is a parasitic disease associated with the larval stage of Echinococcus granulosus, characterized by slow progression and a long-term, often asymptomatic clinical course. A multimodal diagnostic approach enables precise assessment of the cyst’s morphological structure, size, location, and its relationship with surrounding tissues. This ensures full preoperative diagnostic preparedness before surgical or interventional procedures. Therefore, multimodal imaging-based diagnosis of hepatic echinococcosis remains one of the most relevant issues in modern medicine.
