Perinatal lesions of the central nervous system occupy a leading position in the structure of pediatric neurological disorders. The high prevalence of this condition, together with the risk of persistent functional impairments, determines its clinical significance. Delayed diagnosis at the early stages of a child’s life often results in the late initiation of rehabilitation measures and may lead to disabling outcomes. Particular importance in the formation of a child’s health is attributed to the characteristics of antenatal development and the course of labor.
