Аннотация
Given the widespread prevalence of type 2 diabetes worldwide in recent years, it is not surprising that representatives from various fields are addressing this issue. Metabolic disorders associated with diabetes lead to changes in virtually all body tissues. Furthermore, damage to the retina, blood vessels, kidneys, heart, and brain has been well studied and documented, but the condition of the nose and paranasal sinuses in diabetes remains poorly described by otolaryngologists. The aim of our study was to investigate nasal and paranasal sinus diseases in patients with diabetes and to develop modern diagnostic and treatment methods for this group of patients in an outpatient setting.
