Аннотация

The image of the snake, as one of the ancient mythological archetypes, holds deep meaning and symbolic significance in many cultures. In French and Uzbek cultures, the dual symbolic nature of the snake is vividly evident. On the one hand, the snake is recognized as a symbol of wisdom, rebirth, and protection. These qualities are associated with the snake's ability to shed its skin, symbolizing longevity and the possession of secrets. In Eastern culture, including Turkic mythology, the snake is depicted as a wise and loyal being that protects its family. In French culture, the snake is often linked to enlightenment and inner strength. On the other hand, the snake is interpreted as a symbol of danger, cunning, and temptation. Similarly, in Uzbek mythology, the snake sometimes appears as a representation of dark forces, embodying an enemy or a mysterious threat. This article examines the symbolic meaning of the snake as a zoosymbol in prose and poetic texts in French and Uzbek languages. It analyzes the cultural and mythological significance of the snake, as well as its role in creating artistic meaning in texts. Additionally, the article explores the similarities and differences in the symbolic connotations of the snake image in the two cultures. It emphasizes the pragmatic aspects of zoosymbols, highlighting their role in conveying cultural codes and their influence on the reader's perception of the text.
