Аннотация
In the 20th century, pop-culture, which received a new beginning in its development, goes way back and, under the influence of the socio-political system of society, on the one hand, expresses the spirit of the time, on the other hand, it is regarded as a process that negatively affects social progress. At all times, mass culture has manifested itself as a consequence of the dialogue of cultures. However, in the 20th and 21st centuries, there is a sharp increase in the negative understanding of pop-culture. In this regard, this article reveals the genesis and essence of the development of mass culture and its contemporary forms manifested in the life of society.
