Аннотация
This article examines the relationship between views on language and communication in the 20th century and the stages of their development, determining priority areas for increasing the role of the national language and sociocultural communication in global sustainable devel opment, strengthening cooperation of international institutions in ensuring the prospects for language and communication, determining the role of international language and communication system in the formation of modern socio-political and legal relations, improvement of the communication system in the organization of international communication. Also, in the XX century, a philosophical analysis of the concepts of "language" and "communication" was carried out, its role in the formation of public consciousness, the views of Western and Eastern thinkers on the essence of word, language and communication as a means of interpersonal understanding in society.
