The article is devoted to the analysis of the role of political communications in the organization and conduct of election campaigns. The current trends in the use of political communication technologies in the process of preparing, holding elections and summing up the results of the election campaign as a whole are highlighted. Based on the analysis of a wide range of modern political communication technologies, the potential of their use in improving the electoral system has been identified. Proposals are provided to expand the use of electoral technologies of political communications in the process of ensuring the legitimacy of political power in the country.
