OVERLAPPING OF THE UZBEK FIRST NAME MOTIFS AND GERMAN SURNAMES (ON THE EXAMPLE OF DESCRIPTIVE PERSONAL NAMES)
Abdullaev, Ziyodbek
Аннотация
The study analyzes Uzbek and German anthroponyms in a comparative aspect. In particular, it is devoted to the scientific analysis of the motifs of Uzbek names and their overlap with motifs of German surnames. As a result of the analysis, it became clear that while German names were de-semantized under the influence of various lexical-phonetic changes in the course of historical formation, Uzbek names kept their precise meaning. In many cases, the motifs of Uzbek language names were formed based on motifs similar to German surnames. The main reason for this is that German surnames are historically made of appellatives and used in everyday life as a calling name (Rufname), and surnames of individuals are named based on nicknames, various signs and characteristics of the body, character, natural phenomena, time of birth, and place.
