Аннотатсия
The article is devoted to the analysis of methods for ensuring the stability of quarry slopes, including the use of preliminary slotting and staged blasting of benches. The conducted studies have shown that slope angles of up to 70° can be safely implemented under various mining and geological conditions, provided that structural parameters are adhered to. Particular attention is paid to the use of inclined boreholes with contour charges made from emulsion explosives (Almonite, Nobelite), which ensure minimal disruption to the rock mass and efficient rock fragmentation. Dividing the bench into three sub-benches and performing blasting operations sequentially allowed for even load distribution and reduced the risk of collapses and landslides. The methodology has demonstrated its versatility and suitability for deep quarries, taking into account complex geological conditions. The proposed approaches contribute to cost reduction, increased safety and efficiency of mining operations, as well as minimizing negative environmental impacts. The results obtained open up new opportunities for improving quarry design methodologies and promoting sustainable development in the mining industry.
