The article is devoted to the attitude of Aziziddin Nasafi, one of the representatives of medieval Eastern philosophy, to the issues of soul and spirit. In this, we can see that his views have similarities and differences with the ancient Greek philosophers and Eastern Peripatetics. In particular, in some places, he uses the opinions of supporters of Sharia on this topic. This is confirmed by the fact that the source of human development lies in the improvement through the acquisition of knowledge. In a number of places, he gives a high status to the mind, recognizing it as a special ability given to man by Allah, and focusing on the fact that it differs from other beings in this aspect. In a word, it emphasizes the fact that man is a creature with divine qualities in the universe, and places and qualifies the latter in relation to body and soul.
