THE EVOLUTION OF THE CATEGORY OF TRUTH IN CLASSICAL, MODERN, AND POSTMODERN PHILOSOPHY AND THE TENDENCIES OF RELATIVISM IN GLOBAL CONSCIOUSNESS
Хайдарова Зебинисо
Abstract
The category of truth holds a significant place in the history of philosophical thought due to its consistent and multidimensional development. In classical philosophy, it is systematized on the basis of the correspondence principle and justified as the possibility of knowing objective reality. In modern philosophy, the role of the subject in the process of understanding truth increases, leading to the emergence of new forms of knowledge grounded in rationality and scientific methodology. In postmodern thought, the multidimensional and discursive nature of truth is recognized, emphasizing its manifestation across diverse contexts. At the same time, difficulties arise in clearly distinguishing the conceptual boundaries of truth across different philosophical systems. Therefore, this study provides a philosophical and methodological analysis of the transformation of the category of truth within classical, modern, and postmodern philosophy, as well as the tendencies of epistemological relativism in global consciousness.
