PATHOGENETIC ROLE OF INTERLEUKIN-6 AND TNF- Α IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF ARTERIAL HYPERTENSION IN WOMEN WITH METABOLIC SYNDROME

Arterial hypertension is one of the most common and significant cardiovascular diseases, especially among women with metabolic syndrome. In recent years, increasing attention has been paid to the study of the pathogenetic mechanisms underlying this pathology, with an emphasis on the role of inflammatory processes. This study examines the pathogenetic role of two key cytokines, interleukin-6 (IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), in the development of hypertension in women with metabolic syndrome. IL-6 and TNF-α are important inflammatory mediators that have significant effects on various physiological processes, including the regulation of vascular tone, endothelial health and metabolism. Levels of these cytokines are often elevated in patients with metabolic syndrome, which correlates with the development of hypertension. IL-6 promotes activation of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS) and increased vascular resistance, while TNF-α affects the expression of genes involved in the regulation of vascular tone and inflammation.
