Annotatsiya
IHD is one of the most common forms of heart disease and a serious health problem worldwide. IHD can lead to myocardial ischemia, myocardial infarction, heart failure, and ultimately death. IHD is a severe chronic disease characterized by progressive atherosclerotic occlusion of the coronary arteries, which leads to a mismatch between myocardial oxygen demand and supply [3,7,9]. Atherosclerosis is described as a low-grade inflammatory condition of the intima of medium-sized arteries that is accelerated by well-known risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes, obesity and dyslipidemia [23,32]. In most observational studies, overweight/obesity has been associated with an increased prevalence of CAD, suggesting that it is a major risk factor associated with the pathophysiology and progression of the disease [12,22].
