The Objective Necessity of Attracting Portfolio Investments to the Economy Through the Stock Market

Abstract
The introductory part of this article presents opinions on the negative impact of various conflict situations observed in the world community on the activities of investors who are owners of capital, including information on the need for portfolio investments directed to low-risk financial instruments through the securities market (SMM). Brief information is provided on the tasks set in the regulatory documents adopted for the development of the sector in our country. The literature review presents the opinions and comments of various economists on portfolio investments. The analysis and results section analyzes the practice of attracting investments to the economy of Uzbekistan. The article concludes with proposals and recommendations for the development of the sector.
