Аннотация
This article provides a comprehensive scientific and analytical assessment of the economic, institutional and production foundations of food security in Uzbekistan during the 35-year period of independence, with particular attention to reforms in agriculture and the food industry and development priorities through 2030. Food security is considered as the combined availability, physical and economic accessibility, quality and safety of food, and stability of supply. The results indicate an increase in per capita production of most products, while substantial regional disparities remain. The study proposes a comprehensive regional food-security indicator combining production, per capita availability, price affordability, food quality and safety, import dependence, storage and processing infrastructure. Policy recommendations are developed for digital monitoring, farm-to-fork control, climate-smart agriculture, resource-saving technologies, agro-logistics, and expansion of food exports by 2030.
