This article examines the current state of agricultural production in the country and ways to increase the economic efficiency of wheat cultivation, based on econometric analysis. The study estimated two models - using Pooled OLS, Fixed Effects, and Random Effects specifications - based on panel data covering 13 regions (2010-2024, 195 observations) and 11 districts of Sirdaryo region (2010-2025, 176 observations), with the Hausman test applied to select the most appropriate model. The results revealed a negative relationship between the growth of overall agricultural output and wheat production volume at the regional level (reflecting a process of cross-sectoral diversification), while the districts of Sirdaryo region showed a stable growth trend that nevertheless requires adjustment for price effects. The conclusions obtained are of practical significance for improving state policy aimed at increasing the efficiency of wheat cultivation.
