Response of the Chaghatay Poet Navoiy to the Persian Poet Nizami: the Timurid Sultan like the "Refuge of Sharia". When Nizamiddin Mir Alisher Navoiy rewriter a famous apologue from Nizami's Makhzan al-asrar through which the Persian poet sought to illustrate the injustice kings demonstrated towards their subjects, the exercise goes far beyond the exhibition of literary virtuosity. Not satisfied with giving an alternative end to the narrative which contrary to its model highlighted sultan Husayn Bayqara's justice, the ruler at that time whom the Chaghatay poet did not hesitate to introduce in this text, the imitation begins to look like an en exhortation addressed to the Prince that should ensure the full implementation of the Sharia.
