INTERPRETATIONS OF “MUHOKAMAT UL-LUGATAYN” ASSOCIATED WITH POEMS OF KHAMSA (BASED ON “LAILI AND MAJNUN”)

Аннотация
In this article, based on the principle of studying the work of Alisher Navoi with the help of his own interpretations, the sources of the poems included in the “Khamsa” by Alisher Navoi are explored. The thoughts of the great poet about the creation of his works in the treatise “Muhakamat al-lugatayn” (“Judgment on two languages”) are investigated in a comparative direction in connection with the ideological content of the poems “Khamsa”. The article examines the reasons for the mention of “Gavharnoma” by the Persian poet Khoja Kirmani in “Leyli and Majnun” of Navoi. The author of the article determines that the poem “Gavharnoma” by Khoja is a laudatory poem and does not correspond to the direction of “Leyli and Majnun” in terms of ideological content, compositional construction and the chosen poetic meter. The author comes to the conclusion that the mention of Navoi “Gavkharnoma” in this place is due to the fact that Khoja was the third hamsanavis after Nizami and Dehlavi, and that he started a new direction in the tradition of hamsa writing and the Uzbek poet followed him in some poetic questions.
