AESTHETIC IDEALS IN THE SPIRITUAL HERITAGE OF ALISHER NAVOI
Мартаба МЕЛИКОВА
Abstract
This article is devoted to the analysis of the spiritual heritage of Alisher Navoi from the standpoint of aesthetics. The skillful use of philosophical categories of aesthetics in the work of the thinker is shown, their dialectical relationship with the moral principles of humanism, which comes from the influence of the ideas of ancient Greek culture on the spiritual heritage of Alisher Navoi. Assimilating the philosophical heritage of antiquity, Navoi creatively approached their rethinking; the ideas of Plato and Aristotle received an oriental shade in Navoi’s work. The influence of Plato‘s ideas can also be traced in the structure of Navoi’s work, which uses dialogues and conversations conducted by the thinker’s heroes. He reworked many ideas of ancient Greek philosophers within the framework of his worldview, and he used some as tools for his worldview. Navoi's philosophical and ethical views, which were set forth in his work, had a great influence on Eastern edifying works, in the form in which they were actually presented.
