A numerical-analytical method for dynamic strength calculation of bogie frames of the locomotive of variable mass and rigidity is presented in the paper; it includes the analysis of the systems of partial differential equations describing the vibrations of the sections of elastic curvilinear elements of variable flexural rigidity with spatial arrangement of sections.These equationsare solvedon a computer by theLaplace methods of operational calculus and further use of iteration methods (the method of the piecewise linear approximations) based on the Fourier and Bubnov–Galerkin methods; numerical studies have been carried out in the MathCAD 14 programming environment.
