Corrosion of car brake linings is a serious problem that shortens their service life and has a negative impact on the environment. Automotive brake pads are made from a variety of materials, including metals, polymers, and asbestos. During the operation of the car, harmful particles are formed on the surface of the brake pads. As the vehicle decelerates, this dust disperses into the environment and can enter the air, soil, and water. One of the main harmful particles released into the environment during the corrosion of brake linings is metal. They are formed as a result of the friction of the brake pads on the brake discs and are released into the environment in the form of fine dust. Metal particles can contain harmful substances such as lead, nickel, and other heavy metals. These substances are toxic and can harm human health and the environment.
