Abstract
Effective management of railway junctions is a key factor in ensuring the reliability and safety of transport infrastructure. In the context of globalization and growing traffic volumes, it is necessary to introduce modern technologies and innovative solutions. This work examines modern approaches to railway junction management, flow control, maintenance of a working fleet of wagons, quality assurance of service and the introduction of modern control and automation systems. To calculate the time spent by a stream in a node, it is necessary to take into account all flows and their changes over time. In more complex systems, where flows change, an integrated approach and consideration of time changes are required to accurately determine the time of stay. As a result, effective management of railway junctions requires an integrated approach aimed at improving all aspects of operation, which in turn will contribute to the sustainable development of the transport system.
