Abstract
This article presents a review of modern wireless technologies used for train movement control. It explores the evolution of these technologies from analog systems to contemporary standards such as GSM-R, LTE-R, TETRA, DMR, and the promising FRMCS system. The paper examines the features of these technologies, their limitations and advantages, as well as examples of their implementation on railways in various countries. Particular attention is paid to issues of reliability, safety, and data transmission speeds, which are essential for effective movement control. The article also discusses prospective solutions, including satellite technologies and short-range systems aimed at enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of rolling stock monitoring
