Abstract
The article presents key conclusions about the prospects for the development of the Trans-Afghan Corridor, taking into account the national interests and strategic positions of the Central Asian countries and Uzbekistan. The article analyzes the main routes connecting Central Asia with the countries of the Middle East. Based on the comparative analysis, an econometric model was developed reflecting the relationship between key macroeconomic indicators, indicators of foreign trade and the global volume of exports of transport services. The article also presents the author's definitions of international transport corridors and transit transport corridors.
